Hello, I have been fishing for Striped Bass for about 6 years now, I started to get into it around 16-17, But to make a very long story short I finally caught a biggin's this September. Off the rocks a dead low I hit a 43 incher on a 6 inch shad on a bucktail. Where I was at was at the end of a point only exposed at the right tide, it drops off to about 12-15 feet with crystal clear water I saw the fish hit about 5 yards off. After all the things that have gone totally, and utterly awire it was all worth it, I had been giving the name the ice man due to the fact I couldn't catch a cold in August. Prior to that my friend and I were into the mid to high 20's inchers which was great-------but I was due and I just wanted to say after the first 20 plus I was addicted, now I am simply obsessed. I will tell you that this fish was far from the last "beast" I will be slaying.
