Mr. Wiggly
- Suffice it to say, "Mr. Wiggly" was dreamt up and designed by Tony Stetzko's father decades ago and perfected by Tony Stetzko himself over the past 2 seasons on Cape Cod. I could go on and on about "who" Tony is and his accomplishments in the surf, but he's not the kind of person that dwells on such things. But one thing that qualifies him in my book to be an authority on what it takes to turn on LARGE striped bass is the fact that he landed a 73# striped bass from the sand on Cape Cod. Until the current world record striper of 78 1/2# was landed in NJ, Tony's Cape Cod fish was the largest surf caught striped bass ever recorded. Not too shabby ;-) Mr. Wiggly lures are entirely unique, hand crafter, wired through and sport very strong Mustad 7794B treble hooks. The Mr. Wiggly lips are cut from Lexan and are extremely tough. The action of these lures is almost beyond words - they don't wiggle back and forth like a bomber or wooden swimmer - they don't really "dart" like a darter either. Instead, the best way to describe the action is to say that they slither through the water presenting and almost "S" like appearance. I've fished Mr. Wiggly in NJ waters, even the shallow beaches and Mr. Wiggly has proven himself to me time after time! Keep your hooks sharp, kill only
what you can use, and carefully release the rest. The striped bass has never
been under so much commercial and recreational fishing pressure - let's lead by
example and let some big fish go
