Korkers Safety SandalsKorkers, also referred to as "cleats" locally, are a 100% necessity if you ever plan on fishing from jetties, rocky shores, or inlets. Walking on rocks, especially those near water, is just not safe without them! There's nothing more dangerous than walking on slippery or wet rocks, a fall alone can send you to the hospital with broken bones...a fall can leave you unable to get help to take you to the hospital...and worse. There are many years of horror stories, even with Korkers, you should be extremely careful when walking on the rocks. Without them, you have no right to be on the jetties or rocks, it's not a matter of if you will fall, it's a matter of how bad you will be hurt when you do. Even if you don't buy them here or plan on buying them here, if you ever intend to fish on rocks of any kind near the water, please get a pair of Korkers. The Korker K-1100's (old style) are shown here, they are also referred to as the old style or lace up style...we prefer these as do most of the guys who have been fishing the jetties for any length of time. The Korker K-5000's are not shown here, but we are carrying them as well, just so the guys that want them can get them online. The main reason we don't prefer the Korker K-5000's is that they hold a lot of water and sand, which adds weight to each step. Many folks like the buckle up Korkers K-5000's rather than the lace up Korkers K-1100's...whichever you choose, wear them every time you go on the jetties! Also, so you can keep your Korkers in good repair, all the goodies necessary to do so will be available here. Replacement studs, either in 10pks or 60pks. And what good would they be without the little replacement tool that Korker also offers!
