Solid construction, 3X Mustad hooks, through wired, 100# Rosco swivels, and many coats of primers, paints, and sealant...these things are built to stand up to whatever you can stick with it! |
Lipless Swimmers Completely unique and suddenly becoming very popular, these lures fill that niche between a metal lip swimmer and a bottle plug or darter. They are perfect for those times when you want to use a metal lip swimmer but need the extra distance a lipless plug can reach. They are technically "surface darters" - the don't dive more than maybe a foot at a very fast retrieve, but instead, suffer along the surface like a fat, wounded baitfish. The somewhat random side to side action coupled with a seductive roll is enough to trigger the biggest fish into blasting these things. One NY licensed guide had the following to say: "I've had the pleasure of using the Lex Lipless for most of the fall last year in both 1 and 2oz. Its design enables it to swim like a metal lip and cast like a darter. The most impressive aspect I discovered about the plug is its ability to hold in a strong rip." |

Available here with a matching VMC Siwash tail hook instead of the tail treble hook! For instance, the black-n-purple w/bucktail ships with a VMC hook with black bucktail over purple bucktail - it matches the plug. We believe the bucktail should match the plug instead of always being white. White bucktail on a black or dark plug just doesn't cut it ;-) |
